Nayagarh, (Odisha Darpan): On the instructions of District Legal Services Authority Chairperson Ajanta Sadangi, under the supervision of Secretary, Anjali Machkhand, Brahmani Sethi, an old woman who was in a helpless condition in Brajsundarpur village of Brundabanpur panchayat of Ranpur block, was rescued by Adhikar Mitra,Prafulla Kumar Behera and Manas Ranjan Balawantray and registered at the district headquarters hospital, Nayagarh . However, the news published in the newspaper “Administration is waiting for Brahmani’s death” caught the attention of the DLSA Chairperson. After that, he expressed his readiness to help Brahmani and gave his help to Adhikar Mitra Prafulla Kumar Behera and Manas Ranjan Balawant Roy. The house of the helpless aunt is 40 km from the District Collector’s office. After arriving at Brajsundarpur village, Both the Adhikar Mitra were shocked to see the Brahmani aunt (Sethi). After that, they took the woman to the CHC at Rajsunakhala for a health check-up, the doctor sent her to the main hospital in Nayagarh district for better treatment. The only son of the helpless aunt who was suffering from mental illness. He was not there. The villagers appreciated the quick action of the District Legal Services Authority and the cooperation of Adhikar Mitra. Adhikar Mitra has announced that she will be settled in the old age home after her recovery .
